Privacy notice
Last updated: 5 November 2026
This notice explains how LockSteward (“we”) handles personal data collected through this website, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
The data controller is LockSteward. A dedicated privacy contact address will be published on this page before launch. Until then, you can reply to any email we send you to exercise your rights.
What we collect and why
- Waitlist: your work email address and, if you give them, your company name and roughly how many client sites you look after, plus the date and time you signed up. We use these to contact you about early access and the launch of LockSteward, and to understand who the product is for. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Free domain check: the domain you enter is sent to public services (Cert Spotter by SSLMate or crt.sh for Certificate Transparency logs, and rdap.org / the relevant registry’s RDAP service) to fetch public records. We do not store the domains you check against you. Results may be cached briefly so that repeat lookups are quicker.
- Technical data: our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the site, for example against abuse and denial-of-service attacks. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and this site sets no cookies.
Who we share it with
We use Cloudflare, Inc. to host this website and store waitlist data. Cloudflare acts as our processor, and data may be processed outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until you ask us to delete it, or for up to 12 months after LockSteward launches if you don’t become a customer, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we process it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
